This form is designed specifically for Students who have been accepted and enrolled into the University, but have not yet auditioned for the Dance Degree Program.
We are so excited that you have chosen VSU for your higher education and are interested in pursuing a BFA in Dance. In order to fully declare Dance as your major, we require students to audition and be accepted into the program.
Students may audition in person:
- Thursday, September 21, 2023 (4-5:30pm) in UC 2108
- Monday, October 30, 2023 (2-3:30pm) in UC 2108
- Monday, February 19, 2024 (2-3:30pm) in UC 2108
If you are unable to make it to the above dates, you may submit a virtual audition.Please submit a video with 1-2 minutes in each of the following areas of dancing:
-A demonstration of Ballet Technique
-A Modern/Contemporary Combination
-A jazz/Commercial Dance Combination
*If you have other areas of dance you would like to share, you are welcome to add to your video.
Please upload videos to a shareable link or folder (unlisted YouTube video, OneDrive Folder, or Vimeo link.
This video may be filmed in any location, so do not fret if you do not have access to a traditional dance space.
